Medical Capsule Construct

I've always had this idea and wish to be a completely constructed being. What would it be like to be a being of science? What does that even mean? To be created by means other than the natural process? An android, grown in a medical test tube and given consciousness. I've been thinking about an older anime called Outlaw Star a lot lately. There is a character named Melfina and she too is a construct of science. Or maybe not science in the anime be she was not a "god child" as they call them, she was created by someone else. The turmoils and hardship she faced are very interesting to me and the questions that arose for her: who create me? Why did they create me and for what purpose?

I guess for me, being a human born from other humans and conceived through natural processes of the universe I don't worry about this questions so much. I don't believe there is a god, but that scientists may begin to "play" that role if they are able to create life in the near future. Fascinating.
